My New Newsletter: Category Pirates
The End of Daily Writing Habits
Dear Friend & Subscriber,
After many months of deliberation, I have decided to stop building Daily Writing Habits as a newsletter.
The reason is because I have been building another paid newsletter (with 2 other Pirates) all about Category Creation & Category Design.
It’s called Category Pirates.
In just 6 months, Category Pirates has already reached #13 on Substack’s Top Business Newsletters!
I write about writing often, and I teach my entire methodology to Online Writing in Ship 30 for 30.
So having a writing newsletter felt redundant after a while, which is why I’ve decided to stop pursuing it.
Instead, I believe I can make a larger contribution to the world of writing & publishing by focusing on one newsletter (instead of 2), and by educating writers on the importance of category creation & category design. You could be the most talented writer in the world, but if you don’t create a new category for yourself, you will forever live in “someone else’s shadow.” No bueno.
Now, some logistical updates:
For those who have been subscribed to Daily Writing Habits, your billing has been paused.
For those who purchased a Year of Daily Writing Habits, I will gladly roll you into Category Pirates for a free year. If you would like to be moved over, please respond to this email and I’ll take care of it for you.
And for anyone else who is interested in Category Pirates but isn’t quite sure yet, respond to this email and I’ll gladly give you a free month so you can check it out.
To get a sense of the content (and how DEEP we go!), I encourage you to read this one first.
Thank you to everyone who read & enjoyed Daily Writing Habits up to this point.
I truly appreciate it.
Nicolas “Always Writing” Cole
P.S. - If there’s anything I can do to help you transition over to Category Pirates, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
